With characteristic Ferrovian precision, Chris managed to score precisely the right amount of runs against Lusteigh at the weekend to take him to a total of exactly 8000 runs for the Erratics. Congratulations Chris!
It has taken him just 199 innings to get there; it took Alastair Cook just 229 innings to amass 10000 Test runs, so Chris has just 30 innings to get his next 2000 to match that pace (at a not inconceivable average of 66.67 - Ferro's current Erratics career average is in fact 69).
Anyway, this only came to light as we have now entered over 90% of the scorecards from Erratics games between 1995-2016 into the new website, so the statistically minded among you will find plenty of fodder - you can visit individual fixtures by changing the year at the top of the 'fixtures' page, and you can peruse player records via the 'players' page. Enjoy.
