Match report In what is fast becoming a very regular fixture in our Erratics calendar, we welcomed Stoke to Teign Valley.

The ‘toss’ was decided the previous night by the 2 skippers, Anuj and Roger, and it ended up with Erratics batting first in a timed game! Duncan and Martin went out to open and set about building a solid platform! This match reporter is writing this 2 months on from this match, and with a hazy memory! Martin Wright was, however, run out with a bullet throw from Jijin and once Duncan and JK had both returned to the pavilion, a rebuild with Matt Crawford and the returning Krups saw Krups retire on 50 and Matt out agonisingly 4 short of 50. A late flurry of runs from Fraser and myself saw us post 199!

Post tea, skipper opened with himself and Phil ‘The’ Power and wickets just fell at regular intervals, but in what has become a regular sight this season, Anuj bowling beautifully but luck deserting him! Fraser on first change and with figures of 4/8 had them tied in knots. Apart from Shanu, with a beautiful 71 not out, Stoke petered out for 139 and the Erratics claim yet another victory in a terrific year!
