Match report Writing this match report almost 2 months, and untold matches, since this game really should teach me to write them when they happen as my memory is cloudy, but here we go!

Arrived at Newton Pop in pouring rain and was joined by JC. Outfield looked slightly longer than usual and as everyone slowly started gathering the rain also subsided. Skippers decided there was more rain on the way and agreed to a 20 over game instead!

Erratics batted first, and after the other opener (me) had played all over a straight one first ball, Duncan and Rick got to work. Louis Adey keeping it tight from one end saw wickets fall at the other. Pete unfortunate to be run out early and Joseph (on his duel contract from Stoke) retired on 25, Fraser also contributing 20 before being run out and the Erratics post their standard T20 score of 121/7.

A bowling attack of Fraser, Nigel, BYB Joseph and myself kept it really tight but the star was John Curtis, who dismissed the very dangerous Louis Adey, tempting him to try and go long over the Chaves on the far boundary, but just slicing it up and into this reporter's grateful hands. Newton Poppleford finished 86/9, Erratics claiming just their 3rd win (at the time) of the season and turns out, we could have played a full game as no more rain fell!
