Match report An Ashburton side containing a high number of good young cricketers started things off by bowling exceptionally well, and restricting the Erratics to 14 for 2 off the first 6 overs. Thankfully they eased up a bit and shared their bowling around. Lottie Miles, on loan to us from Devon Women's Cricket, made an impact on debut with 33 runs (5 x 4s) and dragged us up to 104 from 20.

It didn't look like enough, especially as Ashburton raced to 29 for 0 from their first 6. But under the sure-handed guidance of Captain Heaton all Erratics bowled with economy, and the wickets fell regularly - Miles again playing a crucial role taking a towering catch on the boundary to dismiss their most explosive batsman. The equation came down to 6 needed from the final over, and despite bowling with a strained buttock sustained whilst batting, Hailwood gave up just 3 runs to keep Ashburton at bay, giving the Erratics only their second T20 win of the season.
