Runs in the Sun

15 Jun 2023

Since my last match report round-up we have had a glorious run of weather, and a very erratic run of form - in our last 9 games we have not had the same result twice in a row. We even managed a tie. Next up this weekend it's the North Devon Tour. To get you in the mood (either for playing, or avidly following the scores on WhatsApp) you can peruse the latest batch of write-ups...

Wickets and whippies in a big win at Newton Pop (Nigel)
Cricket was the winner (but we weren't) in a fun T20 game with Lympstone (Paul Carr's reporting debut)
Our 108th game against Clyst ended in victory, and witnessed Chris Cook's 200th score between 50 and 99! (Martin Weiler)
We nearly pulled off an historic run chase on our first game at beautiful Belstone for 20 years (John Curtis)
An afternoon of 'very heaven' as we returned to Teign Valley for our first home game against Chulmleigh (Jim)
Depsite scoring 200 we were hammered by Marldon (report not yet filed/possibly suppressed)
Our 25th tie and 17th hat-trick (Fraser!) in a delightfully eventful game at Feniton (Rik Lindsay)

Last weekend's games at Ide and Stoke Gabriel will be included in the next round-up.
