On these dark and damp days the cricketing summer of 2024 may seem a long way off - and it is. But nets are not! Indeed, they start next week, on Thursday 11th January at 9pm at the Exeter Uni Sports Hall. This will be our regular slot through until the end of March, and we'll then have some 6pm nets in April. It might not be the most attractive time slot, but the nets at the uni are in high demand and we are quite low down the pecking order. On the plus side nets will again be free this year.
We have one net booked each week, which means a maximum of 6 players can use it. So, we will operate a sign up system again this year - simply enter your availability for nets via the website as you would for normal fixtures, and you will be notified if you have been selected (I will be serving as 'net selector'). All welcome - if you are a beginner and don't have kit someone there will willing lend you some.
And, to help get you in the mood for returning to cricket, we have a very late match report in: a fine account from Chris Cook of last season's only draw, at Mount Edgcumbe...
