Erratics Cricket Club News story

August Performances

19 Sep 2025

It feels like an age since we had any Erratics cricket. Our last game in Devon was President's Day, almost a full month ago, and we have only had three tour games since. Fingers crossed this wet spell passes, and we have an action packed end to the season. To get you back in the mood for that, here is a round up of what went down back in August...

It started out with a sterling defence of the Chairman's Cup against the Mystics, as Martin Wright reports.
An unlikely bowling hero stole the headlines in a win against the Metronomes, as Jim recounts.
Mark H recalls a lovely day out at Ottery St Mary.
Matt Hewson's fine account of a surreal game against Devon Medics is not to be missed.
Phil pays tribute to that most classic of modern Erratics fixtures, a trip to Marldon
History was made on our visit to Broadclyst Pins, with Tim telling the tale.

The Oxford Tour was a success, with 2 wins and a draw and a lot of fun, but as yet no reports filed...

If you owe a report from any point this season it is not yet too late. We've witnessed a real renaissance of reporting this year; let's keep up the good work down the stretch.

Cheers
Mark H
