Match report Notes:
- There was a deceased bird outside the pavilion near where we put our kit bags. Not long later our chances of victory were as dead as that bird.
- It was very cold and the lighting was akin to a movie flashback scene.
- The ground had a covering of moss, which made it quite fun to fall on.
- Normally if your team has 3 or more batters retiring then you feel you have a good chance of victory. They had five.
- Our hands were cold which explains the numerous dropped catches and missed run outs.
- Little nudges off the legs went for four, when we tried that the ball went two yards.
- At one point one of their young batters who hit it very hard, middled one straight into the shoulder of the non-striker. He seemed fine but I felt unwell. It also stopped a run.

- It turned square off the moss, which accounts for Martin and Jon's wickets.
- Harry came down the wicket to do a big hit, changed his mind and palmed it to the keeper.
- Alex hit it with the bat at least, just straight back at the bowler.
- Matt stuck around a bit, I don't remember how he was out.
- I was dropped 3 times on my way to 6.
- Lee had some fun before he and Nigel missed both missed a straight one (not the same straight one obviously).
- Mark scooped a bad ball to the keeper and said that he hates cricket.
- Jonathan was our anchor, scoring nearly more runs then the rest of us.

- Jon suggested that we now carry a dead bird with us wherever we go. I don't think he understands that that wouldn't be a good thing.
