Match report Well it's October 19th and we're playing outdoor cricket at Tedburn.
This week was a rematch and a last minute arrangement after we beat them the previous week.

Whilst the weather couldn't be described as tropical it was certainly better than many Sundays in July this year!

The outfield was quite damp but as Tedburn have an all weather strip the game was never really in doubt

We batted first but with the exception of Matt Cook who walloped a smart fifty we never really got going. Matt scored 57 and when I tell you the next highest score was James burrows on 11 I think you'll get the idea.

The bowling was in no way threatening but perhaps we were all in winter mode and looking forward to a whisky in front of the fire!

With a little help from the extras (18) we scraped past 100 to score 112.Tedburn are a really friendly bunch and a star addition to our roster of opposition teams.

They even had the decency to let us take a few wickets before they beat us!

Although Tedburn lost seven wickets the game was not really as close as all that and Tedburn were happy to have squared the mini series at one apiece!

Worthy of note is that Tedburn has two excellent pubs and we visited both after the game for drinks and food. I can't speak highly enough of their hospitality and friendly competitive approach to cricket -can't wait for next year!
