Bakers Cricket v Erratics Cricket Club Erratics on Wed 07 Sep 2016 at 5.00pm
Erratics Cricket Club Lost by 75 runs
Match report
A determined captain urged for focus before the afternoon clash between the Erratics and Baker's XI.
In front of reporters, C. Ferro requested his players to concentrate on the game in hand, after accusations from the media his squad had been asking about how many Euros to take on the upcoming tour.
Meanwhile inside sources report internal disputes with the kitman could cause further distractions, after suggestions bowler Oughton had to borrow whites from teammate Fraser Chave, leaving onlookers bemused.

Bakers bruise brave Erratics
Wednesday afternoon's 75 run defeat perhaps showed the Erratics players may be struggling with the pressure of securing their places in the team for the upcoming European fixtures.
The Baker's openers didn't hold back from the outset, notching up 100 runs in the first 12 overs. Despite this, the Erratics performed well in the field, with Oughton keeping it tight while the batsmen looked for the boundaries.
Wickets eventually did come, after Rutherford applied some pressure on the run rate, and Williamson managed to claim a scalp after a mental tussle with a big hitting baker. Few drops or misfields, the home side still managed to rack up an impressive 181 runs.
With 9 runs an over required, the Erratics got off to a less than ideal start, two early wickets a setback on their strive for success.
Krupakar and Kirby set the example with some impressive strokeplay, finding the gaps and rotating the strike well, the 50 partnership showed some resolve. After Krupakar was eventually caught, some quick knocks brought up the three figures, but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
"Even though they didn't secure the win, The Erratics have earned respect with their battling spirit" wrote one columnist.
And they were right, with the pressure of the run rate and the deflation from the first innings, the Erratics still reached their usual competitive score of 'a hundred and a bit'.
Matt Crawford reports.
