Dearratics,
A month has now passed since the end of our season, and with the nights drawing in summer feels a long time ago. But you can relive some of its glory in our final match report round up for 2024! After narrowly losing to Broadclyst in the middle of July we went on an astonishing run, losing just 2 of our remaining 23 games! (Both to the same team: OUCCCCC). Not a lot of this historic run was written up, but thanks largely to JK you can at least revisit some of it... as well as Roger 's report on a rare win at Ide way back in early June.
We were back at Broadclyst in August proving the doubters wrong, as JK reports.
The long Bank Holiday weekend trip to Mount Edgcumbe ended in a fine draw, as this AI generated monstrosity 'reports'.
An early September visit to our favourites Chulmleigh ended in a 'Total Victory for Friendly Cricket', as JK reports.
And our curtain faller against Stoke-in-Teignhead has been rendered into an Anglican Communion service by, you guessed it, JK.
The season may be done and dusted, but there is still plenty to get excited about and involved with:
~ we still need to do some work putting the ground 'to bed'. If you are available next weekend please get in touch with Martin Wright or Roger to coordinate.
~ The Awards Dinner will take place at St Sidwell's on Friday 6th December. Save the date. Booking details - and award nomination request - to follow soon.
~ Nets will start in mid January!
Winter will fly by.
Cheers
Mark H
