Dog Days Delight!

20 Aug 2024

After a midsummer slump, the Erratics have flipped the script in the dog days of summer. After a run of 8 losses in 10 games earlier in the summer, we have now gone 10 unbeaten since mid-July. It's a funny old game.

The completion of match reports remains in a bit of a slump, but there are signs of a recovery - enough at least for your latest batch update:

Cast your mind back to the depths of that losing streak, with Andrew's report on a home pasting by Tipton.
Anuj covers what has turned out to be our most recent defeat - a valiant effort away at mighty Broadclyst.
Matthew Hewson recounts a low-scoring victory against our oldest frenemies Clyst St George.
Mark H gets wistful after a fine win at the other Clyst, Hydon.
Martin Weiler captures a perfect day of friendly cricket in an Ottery St Mary fixture that is fast becoming a favourite.
And Roger Putmo resisted the temptation to meniton Hugh's massive bone in his account of a comfortable win at beautiful Chagford.

There is a lot of Erratics cricket coming up - 8 games in 12 days! Hope to see many of you on the field, or at least as spectators for Monday's President's Day/Erratics@90 Celebration at Teign Valley...
